JESSICA NAGAHASHI BAER
Brainspotting Coach, Oakland CA
I love Brainspotting and want to share it with the world! Brainspotting has allowed me to process deep wounds and gain an ever expanding confidence in my Brilliance. As a Brainspotting client and practitioner I have grown tremendously from being able to change careers, cultivate nourishing friendships, let go of harmful expectations, and most importantly to feel empowered in the face of an uncertain future.
As a decade+ educator and leader with Oakland Public schools I profoundly experienced how “hurt people hurt people” and what I’ve come to understand is: We are all hurt. We all deserve to heal. Healing is an irrefutable human right.
I believe that individual healing is essential to building a critical mass of emotionally and spiritually well people capable of stripping away the existence of oppressive and racist systems, cultures, and mindsets. My commitment to this movement is unwavering and central to my motivation: Healing People Heal People.
Devoted to doing what works and getting to the root; Freedom, Fun, Justice, Growth, Curiosity, and Connection are core values that guide my practice. I bring a strengths based approach to all of my work with a heightened consciousness that anything is possible. Guided by intuition, relationship, and the longing for all people to live their best lives I am confident in my clients’ wisdom and ability to discover the truth within themselves.
I identify as Asian American and Biracial, artist, woman, writer, partner, educator and surfer.
